Critics and players loved it, making Sonic Mania one of the highest-rated games in the franchise's history. After years and years of trying to make Sonic successful in the 3D platforming space, the Blue Blur returned to his 2D side-scrolling roots in a game that was stylized like a classic 16-bit Genesis-era entry. Before the polarizing Sonic Frontiers, SEGA had a bona fide smash hit with Sonic Mania. Over the last two decades, the Sonic franchise has struggled to produce hits, but there have been a few well-received games that became both critical and commercial hits. Players can leap-frog over each other, hug each other to gain extra health, or help each other through areas. The game also has tons of fun multiplayer abilities. Illusion Island is a relatively easy platformer, making it great for families with kids or even casual gamers who want to experience a great story without the head-banging frustration of some platforming games - and if all else fails, one character can keep moving ahead and the others will teleport forward if they're stuck too far behind. Not only is Illusion Island the first Mickey platformer to come out in a number of years, but its also impressive because of its handcrafted colorful world, designed as a throwback to Disney's early years and classic animation style. The platformer allows for 1-4 players to play as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy as they're tricked into visiting the mysterious world of Monoth to help retrieve three missing tomes. I'll keep this updated as long as I can.The first major release happened on July 28, when Disney Illusion Island debuted as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Also Eliiott Smith gets kind of close to apathetic/ tired sounding, although he's really just got a very calm, sad way of singing: (1) Donovan - Hurdy Gurdy Man - 1968 (2) Elliott Smith: "Angeles" (3) Elliott Smith - Miss Misery Live On Piano Videos in this thread: Watch Playlist ▶ VIDEO
